Workforce Attendance and Biometrics
Fingerprint and facial-recognition attendance tied into access control and reporting.

Manual attendance registers are easy to abuse and slow to reconcile against payroll. This solution ties biometric attendance directly into access control and reporting, so clock-in data is both accurate and immediately usable.
What this solution combines
Built on biometric access and workforce services — fingerprint and facial-recognition terminals, access control and attendance reporting — with software development available where a custom integration into an existing payroll or HR system is needed.
What it typically looks like
Terminal installation at relevant entrances, staff enrolment, and attendance reporting configured to export in a format your payroll process can use directly, removing manual timesheet reconciliation.
Choosing between fingerprint and facial recognition
The right terminal type depends on your entrance traffic and environment more than personal preference: fingerprint terminals are proven and cost-effective for lower-traffic entrances, while facial recognition clears busier entrances faster since staff don’t need to queue to touch a sensor, and holds up better in dusty environments where fingerprint readers can misread. Sites with gloved staff (factory floors, cold storage) usually need facial recognition or a card-based fallback, since fingerprint scanning doesn’t work through gloves.
Handling exceptions without breaking the system
No biometric system enrols every person successfully — a small percentage of fingerprints don’t register reliably, and facial recognition can struggle with certain lighting conditions at some entrances. A workable deployment plans for this from the start with a fallback method (PIN or card) for those cases, rather than treating every enrolment failure as a support ticket.
Getting attendance data into payroll
The point of moving off a paper register is usually to stop manually reconciling attendance against payroll every month. That only actually happens if the terminal’s reporting output matches a format your payroll process can consume — a CSV export that still needs manual re-keying into another system isn’t much of an improvement. We confirm your payroll process’s expected input format before recommending a specific terminal and software combination, rather than assuming a generic export will do.
Who this fits
Manufacturers and larger employers needing accurate shift attendance, and any SME currently relying on a paper register or an honesty-based sign-in sheet rather than a system with a real audit trail.

Documented infrastructure with a clear handover, so accountability doesn’t leave with a supplier.
Frequently asked questions
Does this replace our existing payroll system, or feed into it?
It feeds into it — attendance data is exported in a format your payroll process or software can use, rather than replacing payroll itself. Where a custom integration is needed, that falls under software development and integration.
What if staff work across multiple sites?
Terminals at each site can report into one central system, giving a single attendance record across locations rather than separate logs that need manual reconciling.
