SEO Analytics and Reporting in Rwanda

Google Analytics 4 and Search Console set up to show which searches turn into calls and enquiries.

SEO analytics and reporting sets up the tools that measure whether search work is bringing the right visitors and turning them into enquiries, then reports on it every month in plain language. It covers Google Analytics 4 setup, Google Search Console monitoring, keyword and landing-page performance, tracking of organic traffic and enquiries, measurement of phone, email and form conversions, and monthly reviews with an action plan. This page covers measurement and reporting. Fixing the technical problems those reports reveal is covered by technical SEO, and the continuing monthly work itself by ongoing SEO management.

What is SEO reporting, and who needs it

SEO reporting connects search activity to business results. It answers three questions each month: are more of the right people finding us on Google, are they acting once they arrive, and what should we do next? It suits any business investing in SEO, any business that has a website but no idea where its enquiries come from, and businesses whose analytics were set up years ago and no longer record anything useful.

The problem it solves

Many sites have analytics installed but no goals defined, so reports show visitors but not enquiries. Others still rely on an outdated setup that stopped collecting data, or have Search Console verified under a former developer’s account. Without reliable measurement, nobody can tell whether SEO work is paying off, and decisions are made on guesswork or on rankings for a single favourite search.

What we set up

  • Google Search Console: verified for the right version of your domain, with sitemaps submitted and owner access held by your organisation.
  • Google Analytics 4: a property owned by your organisation, with data collection kept to what reporting needs.
  • Key events: phone and WhatsApp link clicks, email clicks and successful form submissions.
  • Landing-page reporting: which pages bring organic visitors and which lead to enquiries.
  • Business Profile data: calls, direction requests and website visits from your listing.
  • A monthly dashboard: the few numbers that matter, rather than every metric the tools offer.

What the work involves

  1. Audit existing analytics and Search Console access, data quality and ownership.
  2. Set up or repair properties, with your organisation as owner and us as a user.
  3. Configure key events and test that each one records correctly.
  4. Build a simple report around organic traffic, visibility and enquiries.
  5. Review results with you each month and agree the next priorities.
  6. Adjust tracking as the website changes, so data stays reliable.

What’s included and what’s not

Included: Search Console and Google Analytics 4 setup or repair, key event configuration and testing, a reporting dashboard, monthly performance reports, and a review call with recommended actions.

Not included unless bundled: paid advertising tracking and management, call-tracking phone numbers from third-party providers, customer relationship management (CRM) integration, and legal advice on privacy obligations.

Typical timelines and what drives cost

Setup usually takes a few days, plus a short period of testing once real visitors arrive. Historical comparisons only become meaningful after a few months of clean data. Cost depends on the number of websites and properties, the number of forms and actions to track, the platform, and how much reporting detail you want each month.

Reading the reports sensibly

Search data moves around from week to week. Seasonal patterns, such as tourism peaks or the school calendar, affect traffic as much as SEO work does. We compare like with like, such as this month against the same month last year, and look at trends over several months before drawing conclusions. A single ranking change on a single day rarely means anything on its own.

Who owns the data

Your analytics and Search Console data describe your customers, so they belong to your organisation. We set up every property under an account you own and add ourselves as users. If you ever change provider, you remove our access and keep the full history.

Common mistakes we see

Analytics and Search Console owned by a former agency or employee. Counting every page view but no enquiries. Celebrating traffic growth that comes from searches with no buying intent. Reports so long nobody reads them. Tracking set up once and broken by the next website update. And judging SEO by one keyword’s position instead of enquiries.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Google Analytics and Search Console?

Search Console shows how your site performs in Google Search before anyone visits: which searches showed your pages, how often, their average position and how many people clicked. Google Analytics 4 shows what visitors do once they arrive, from any source: which pages they view and whether they call, email or send a form. SEO reporting needs both.

How do you track phone calls and form enquiries from the website?

We set up Google Analytics 4 events for the actions that matter: clicks on phone and WhatsApp links, clicks on email addresses and successful form submissions. Marking the most important ones as key events lets reports show which pages and traffic sources lead to enquiries. Calls made by dialling a number seen elsewhere can't be tracked, so we also ask how callers found you.

What will a monthly SEO report show?

Organic visits and enquiries compared with the previous period and the same month last year, the searches and pages that gained or lost visibility, Google Business Profile actions such as calls and direction requests, the work completed that month and the priorities for the next. We explain the numbers in plain language and flag anything that needs a decision from you.

Does analytics tracking affect our privacy obligations?

Yes. Analytics collects data about visitors, so your privacy policy should say what is collected and why, and some setups require consent before tracking starts. We configure Google Analytics 4 with data collection limited to what reporting needs, and we recommend you confirm your obligations under Rwanda's data protection law with your legal adviser before launch.

Why don't the numbers in different tools match?

Each tool measures differently. Search Console counts clicks from Google Search, Analytics counts sessions from all sources and can miss visitors who block tracking, and Business Profile reports its own actions. Small differences are normal. We use each tool for what it measures best and focus on trends over time rather than exact matches between them.

Can customers find you on Google today?

Send us your website and the searches you want to appear for. We’ll start with an audit and tell you what to fix first.
